An African proverb says:

It takes a village to raise a child

It also requires a smaller town to get an author on the stage. You may not have a whole house of employees who call you boss, but you can still employ a small army of people. Think about how many little wheels you start each time you publish a book:

IT vendors
software suppliers
proofreaders
editors
graphic designers
photographers
printers
transporters
bookstores
continue the list

That’s a lot, right?
And it’s just those who are directly involved in one way or another. Then there are all those who keep you alive. Fit and healthy so that you can write.
